The complainant sought revision of a 2005 district-court judgment. The district court president later struck the revision proceeding off the roll for failure to pay required security and an additional advance on costs. The cantonal appeal was rejected by the Solothurn High Court. Before the Federal Supreme Court, the complainant attempted to challenge both the district court president's order and the cantonal judgment. The court held that the first challenge was inadmissible because the order was not a final cantonal decision, and the second because the submission did not satisfy the federal reasoning requirements. The appeal was therefore not entered into, and no court costs were charged.
Art. 75 Abs. 1, Art. 42 Abs. 2, Art. 106 Abs. 2 and Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a/b BGG; admissibility of a federal appeal and minimum reasoning requirements. A federal appeal is inadmissible against a cantonal decision that is not rendered by the last cantonal instance. As to the challenged cantonal judgment, the appellant must, by reference to the reasoning attacked, indicate which rights were violated; merely objecting in general terms does not suffice. Alleged violations of constitutional rights are examined only if expressly raised and substantiated. Where these requirements are not met, the court does not enter into the appeal; in appropriate circumstances it may waive court costs (consid. 1-3).

Beschwerde gegen das Urteil des Obergerichts des Kantons Solothurn, Zivilkammer, vom 21. Mai 2008.
In Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer mit Eingabe vom 26. Februar 2007 beim Richteramt Bucheggberg-Wasseramt die Revision des Urteils des Amtsgerichts von Bucheggberg-Wasseramt vom 3. November 2005 verlangte;
dass der Gerichtspräsident von Bucheggberg-Wasseramt am 4. April 2008 verfügte, das Revisionsverfahren werde als angedrohte Säumnisfolge des Nichtleistens der mit Verfügung vom 5. Juni 2007 einverlangten Parteikostensicherheit sowie eines weiteren Gerichtskostenvorschusses abgeschrieben;
dass der Beschwerdeführer gegen diese Verfügung an das Obergericht des Kantons Solothurn rekurrierte, das den Rekurs mit Urteil vom 21. Mai 2008 abwies;
dass der Beschwerdeführer dem Bundesgericht eine vom 18. Juni 2008 datierte Eingabe einreichte, in der er erklärte, das Urteil des Obergerichts vom 21. Mai 2008 und die Verfügung des Gerichtspräsidenten von Bucheggberg-Wasseramt vom 4. April 2008 mit Beschwerde anzufechten;
dass von vornherein auf die Beschwerde in Anwendung von Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG nicht einzutreten ist, soweit sie sich gegen die Verfügung des Gerichtspräsidenten von Bucheggberg-Wasseramt vom 4. April 2008 richtet, da es sich bei dieser Verfügung nicht um einen kantonal letztinstanzlichen Entscheid im Sinne von Art. 75 Abs. 1 BGG handelt;
dass in den Rechtsmitteln an das Bundesgericht unter Bezugnahme auf die Erwägungen des angefochtenen Entscheides dargelegt werden muss, welche Rechte der beschwerdeführenden Partei durch das kantonale Gericht verletzt worden sind (Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG), wobei eine allfällige Verletzung der bundesrechtlichen Grundrechte oder kantonaler verfassungsmässiger Rechte vom Bundesgericht nicht von Amtes wegen geprüft wird, sondern nur dann, wenn entsprechende Rügen in der Beschwerdeschrift ausdrücklich erhoben und begründet werden (Art. 106 Abs. 2 BGG);
dass die Eingabe des Beschwerdeführers vom 18. Juni 2008 diese Begründungsanforderungen offensichtlich nicht erfüllt, soweit sich die Beschwerde gegen das Urteil des Obergerichts des Kantons Solothurn vom 21. Mai 2008 richtet, weshalb insoweit auf die Beschwerde mangels hinreichender Begründung nicht einzutreten ist (Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG);
dass damit auf die Beschwerde als Ganzes nicht eingetreten werden kann;
dass unter den gegebenen Umständen auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten zu verzichten ist (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);
erkennt das präsidierende Mitglied:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Solothurn, Zivilkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
