The appellant withdrew his civil appeal against the Zug cantonal judgment. The Federal Supreme Court therefore discontinued the proceedings, revoked the deadline set for the respondent to answer the appeal, and ordered the appellant to bear the federal court costs of CHF 1,000 and to pay the respondent CHF 1,500 in compensation for the federal proceedings.
Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG; withdrawal of the appeal in civil proceedings terminates the proceedings by administrative order. Upon withdrawal, the appellant is generally liable for the court costs and must compensate the respondent for the federal proceedings pursuant to Art. 66 Abs. 3 and Art. 68 Abs. 4 BGG; any pending time limit for the respondent to file a response may be cancelled as moot.

dass sich die Beschwerdegegnerin zum Gesuch um aufschiebende Wirkung hat vernehmen lassen;
dass der Beschwerdeführer kosten- und entschädigungspflichtig ist (Art. 66 Abs. 3 und Art. 68 Abs. 4 BGG);
verfügt die Präsidentin im Verfahren nach Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG:

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
2.
Die der Beschwerdegegnerin zur Beantwortung der Beschwerde bis zum 7. Oktober 2009 gesetzte Frist wird zurückgenommen.
3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 1'000.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
4.
Der Beschwerdeführer hat die Beschwerdegegnerin für das bundesgerichtliche Verfahren mit Fr. 1'500.-- zu entschädigen.
5.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zug, Zivilrechtliche Abteilung, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

The appellant withdrew the civil appeal by letter of 2009-09-28, so the Federal Supreme Court discontinued the case.
Allocation of court costs and party compensation after withdrawal
The appellant had to bear the federal court costs and pay compensation to the respondent.
Under Art. 66(3) and Art. 68(4) BGG, the withdrawing appellant bears costs and must compensate the respondent.
