Considerando:
che il 15 marzo 2009 A.________ e per esso decesso l'Ente Religioso B.________ e C.________ hanno presentato al Tribunale federale un ricorso in materia civile contro la decisione emanata il 2 marzo 2009 del Giudice delegato della seconda Camera civile del Tribunale d'appello del cantone Ticino;
che con scritto del 5 maggio 2009 i ricorrenti hanno dichiarato di ritirare il ricorso;
che il presidente della Corte, o il giudice dell'istruzione, decide quale giudice unico circa lo stralcio delle cause ritirate (art. 32 cpv. 1 e 2 LTF) e, in tale ambito, statuisce sulle spese giudiziarie (art. 5 cpv. 2 PC in relazione con l'art. 71 LTF);
che le spese giudiziarie sono posto a carico dei ricorrenti (art. 66 cpv. 1 LTF);
per questi motivi, la presidente decreta:

La causa è stralciata dai ruoli a seguito del ritiro del ricorso.
2.
Le spese giudiziarie di fr. 300.-- sono poste a carico dei ricorrenti.
3.
Comunicazione ai patrocinatori delle parti e al Giudice delegato della seconda Camera civile del Tribunale d'appello del Cantone Ticino.
