The Federal Supreme Court held that the request for revision of its earlier non-entry judgment was inadmissible because the applicant failed to invoke or substantiate any statutory ground for revision. In particular, he did not show that the court had accidentally overlooked material facts. A challenge to the legal assessment of the earlier judgment is not permitted in revision. The applicant was ordered to pay court costs of CHF 500.

Art. 121 ff. BGG, Art. 127 BGG; revision of a final Federal Supreme Court judgment is admissible only if a statutory ground is specifically invoked and substantiated. Revision is not a substitute for criticism of the legal assessment underlying the challenged judgment. In particular, under Art. 121 lit. d BGG, the applicant must show that the court overlooked decisive facts contained in the record by mistake. If no revision ground is alleged or made plausible, the Court will not enter into the request without exchanging briefs (Art. 127 BGG). Costs are governed by Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG.

Revisionsgesuch gegen das bundesgerichtliche Urteil vom 27. Dezember 2007 1B_299/2007.

In Erwägung,
dass das Bundesgericht mit Urteil vom 27. Dezember 2007 mangels einer hinreichenden Begründung im Sinne von Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG auf die Beschwerde von X.________ nicht eingetreten ist (Verfahren 1B_299/2007);
dass X.________ mit Eingabe vom 18. Januar 2008 um Revision des bundesgerichtlichen Urteils vom 27. Dezember 2007 ersucht hat;
dass die Aufhebung oder Abänderung eines nach Art. 61 BGG in Rechtskraft erwachsenen Bundesgerichtsurteils nur bei Vorliegen eines Revisionsgrundes gemäss Art. 121 ff. BGG möglich ist;
dass der Gesuchsteller in seiner Eingabe nicht darlegt, an welchem Revisionsgrund der beanstandete bundesgerichtliche Nichteintretensentscheid leiden sollte;
dass insbesondere der Gesuchsteller nicht belegt, dass das Bundesgericht in den Akten liegende erhebliche Tatsachen aus Versehen nicht berücksichtigt hätte (Art. 121 lit. d BGG);
dass im Revisionsverfahren eine Kritik an der dem angefochtenen Urteil zugrunde liegenden rechtlichen Würdigung nicht zu hören ist;
dass somit auf das Revisionsgesuch ohne Schriftenwechsel nicht einzutreten ist (Art. 127 BGG);
dass dem Ausgang des Verfahrens entsprechend die bundesgerichtlichen Kosten dem Gesuchsteller aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);

erkennt das Bundesgericht:

Auf das Revisionsgesuch wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Gesuchsteller auferlegt.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird dem Gesuchsteller, dem Amtsgerichtspräsidenten Bucheggberg-Wasseramt und dem Obergericht des Kantons Solothurn, Beschwerdekammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
