Designating a bridge on that portion of S.R. 128 over Buffalo Creek, Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, as the Freeport Veterans Bridge.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Freeport Veterans Bridge.

(a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds as follows:

(1) Armstrong County wishes to honor the citizens of Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, who have served or are currently serving our nation in the armed forces.

(2) Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, residents served in every major United States military conflict.

(3) Thousands of people from Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, have served in defense of the United States.

(b) Designation.--The bridge located on S.R. 128 over Buffalo Creek, Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, is hereby designated the Freeport Veterans Bridge.

(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to traffic in both directions on the bridge.

Section 2. Effective date.

This act shall take effect in 60 days.
