The motion to waive fees is GRANTED for this case only.
The claim of appeal is DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction. MCR 7.203(A)(1). The
August 12, 2026 order is not a final order as defined in MCR 7.202(6)(a)(iv) because it is not a
postjudgment order awarding or denying attorney fees and costs. The order is also not a final order under
any of the other definitions of a final order under MCR 7.202(6). Dismissal is without prejudice to the
filing of a late appeal under MCR 7.205(A)(4), provided such a filing meets all requirements under the
court rules and is not time-barred.
