The motion to order trial court to appoint substitute counsel is GRANTED. This case is
REMANDED to the trial court for appointment of substitute appellate counsel for defendant-appellant.
On the Court’s own motion, this case is HELD IN ABEYANCE until 42 days after the trial
court enters the order appointing substitute appellate counsel to allow substitute counsel a reasonable
opportunity to communicate with defendant regarding this case and to possibly file a motion in this Court
to file an amended application for leave to appeal or a supplement to the current application.
This Court retains jurisdiction.
