Dear Clerk Zimmer:
I am writing concerning the May 4, 2026 motion to extend that I filed in this matter
and my overall involvement in this case.
First, the People are asking to withdraw their motion to extend. Upon his return
from leave, Assistant Attorney General Richard Cunningham, who is counsel of
record in this matter, wished to and did file his brief on appeal by the existing May
5, 2026 deadline. Therefore, the motion to extend is no longer necessary and is
withdrawn.
Second, I am requesting that my name be removed from this case because I am not
serving as counsel of record, and do not anticipate further involvement in this case.
Assistant Attorney General Richard Cunningham should remain listed as the
counsel of record for Appellant, the People of the State of Michigan.
