The Geneva cantonal disability insurance office withdrew its appeal to the Federal Supreme Court against the judgment of the Geneva cantonal social insurance court of 20 May 2009. The President of the Second Social Law Division therefore ordered the case struck from the docket. In view of the withdrawal, judicial costs were reduced and fixed at CHF 200, payable by the appellant. The order was communicated to the parties, the cantonal court, and the Federal Office for Social Insurance.
Art. 32 al. 2 and 71 LTF in conjunction with Art. 73 al. 1 PCF; withdrawal of an appeal: the proceedings are removed from the docket once the appellant validly withdraws the recourse. Under Art. 66 al. 2 LTF, the Federal Supreme Court may reduce judicial costs in such a procedural situation and charge them to the withdrawing appellant.

qu'il convient de réduire les frais judiciaires à la charge de l'office recourant (art. 66 al. 2 LTF),
par ces motifs, le Président ordonne:

La cause est radiée du rôle par suite de retrait du recours.
2.
Les frais judiciaires arrêtés à 200 fr. sont mis à la charge de l'office recourant.
3.
La présente ordonnance est communiquée aux parties, au Tribunal cantonal genevois des assurances sociales et à l'Office fédéral des assurances sociales.

Yes. The case was removed from the docket following withdrawal of the appeal.
Once the appellant declared withdrawal, the Federal Court ordered the case struck from the role under the applicable procedural provisions.
How judicial costs should be allocated after withdrawal of the appeal
The judicial fee was reduced and set at CHF 200, payable by the appellant office.
Because the appeal was withdrawn, the court reduced the costs under the Federal Tribunal Act.
