X. challenged Y.'s acquittal for theft after her complaint had led to criminal proceedings in Vaud. The cantonal appeal was rejected, and she then filed a federal appeal seeking conviction or, subsidiarily, remand. The Federal Supreme Court held that she lacked victim status under the LAVI and therefore had no standing under Art. 81(1)(b)(5) LTF to attack the acquittal. The appeal was manifestly inadmissible, and the appellant had to pay CHF 800 in costs.

Costs are borne by the unsuccessful appellant pursuant to Art. 66 al. 1 LTF (consid. 1-2).

Faits:

Sur plainte de X.________, Y.________ a été poursuivi pour vol.
Par jugement du 22 avril 2008, le Tribunal de police de l'arrondissement de l'Est vaudois l'a acquitté.
B.
Contre ce jugement, X.________ a formé un recours au Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud, qui a été rejeté par un arrêt du 4 juin 2008.
Parallèlement, elle recourt au Tribunal fédéral, en demandant principalement la réforme du jugement du 22 avril 2008 en ce sens que Y.________ est reconnu coupable de vol, subsidiairement l'annulation de ce jugement, avec renvoi de la cause au premier juge pour nouvelle décision.
Considérant en droit:

De jurisprudence constante, le lésé n'a pas qualité pour recourir au Tribunal fédéral contre le refus de suivre à la plainte, le non-lieu ou l'acquittement, s'il ne bénéficie pas du statut procédural de victime au sens des art. 2 LAVI et 81 al. 1 let. b ch. 5 LTF (ATF 133 IV 228 et les références; arrêt 6B_480/2007 du 31 janvier 2008, consid. 1.1 et 1.3). Faute d'avoir la qualité de victime au sens de ces deux dispositions, la recourante ne peut dès lors pas contester l'acquittement de l'accusé au Tribunal fédéral. Son recours est ainsi manifestement irrecevable (art. 108 al. 1 let. a LTF).

La recourante, qui succombe, doit supporter les frais de justice (art. 66 al. 1 LTF).
Par ces motifs, le Président prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.
2.
Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 800 fr., sont mis à la charge de la recourante.
3.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties et au Tribunal de police de l'arrondissement de l'Est vaudois.

Whether the complainant had standing to challenge the acquittal before the Federal Supreme Court
She lacked standing because she did not have victim status under Art. 2 LAVI and Art. 81(1)(b)(5) LTF.
A injured person may appeal against a refusal to proceed, a dismissal or an acquittal only if procedural victim status exists. Without that status, the appeal against the acquittal is inadmissible.
Allocation of court costs
The unsuccessful appellant must bear the court costs.
Costs follow the outcome under Art. 66(1) LTF.
