recours contre l'arrêt de la Cour de justice de la République et canton de Genève, Chambre pénale
d'appel et de révision, du 27 mars 2014.

Considérant en fait et en droit :

Par arrêt du 27 mars 2014, la Chambre pénale d'appel et de révision de la Cour de justice de la République et canton de Genève a rejeté l'appel de X.________ et confirmé sa condamnation du chef de calomnie à 15 jours-amende à 30 fr. le jour avec sursis pendant 3 ans, à 100 fr. d'amende - assortie d'une peine privative de liberté de substitution d'un jour - et au paiement des frais. X.________ interjette un recours en matière pénale au Tribunal fédéral contre l'arrêt cantonal, concluant à l'annulation de la peine pécuniaire et à la réduction de l'amende au minimum légal. Elle requiert en outre le bénéfice de l'assistance judiciaire.

En tant qu'elle relate le litige l'ayant opposée à un ancien employeur et reproche à la Chambre cantonale d'avoir ignoré l'argumentation de son défenseur d'office, le témoignage de son médecin traitant ainsi que les certificats médicaux établis à partir de l'année 2011, elle met en cause la constatation des faits et l'appréciation des preuves, respectivement le verdict de culpabilité. Ce faisant, elle outrepasse - de manière irrecevable faute d'épuisement des voies de droit cantonales (cf. art. 80 al. 1 LTF; voir également ATF 135 I 91 consid. 2.1 p. 93) - l'objet du litige circonscrit à la fixation de la peine (cf. arrêt attaqué consid. 1.2). Sur ces dernières considérations (cf. arrêt attaqué consid. 2), l'intéressée ne se détermine aucunement au mépris de l'art. 42 al. 2 LTF, aux termes duquel le recourant doit motiver son recours en exposant succinctement en quoi la décision attaquée viole le droit. Faute ainsi de satisfaire aux exigences de recevabilité d'un recours en matière pénale devant le Tribunal fédéral, le recours doit être écarté en application de l'art. 108 al. 1 let. a et b LTF.

Comme les conclusions du recours étaient dépourvues de chances de succès, l'assistance judiciaire ne peut être accordée (art. 64 al. 1 LTF). La recourante devra supporter les frais judiciaires (art. 66 al. 1 LTF), dont le montant sera toutefois arrêté en tenant compte de sa situation financière laquelle n'apparaît pas favorable.

Par ces motifs, le Président prononce :

Le recours est irrecevable.

2.

La demande d'assistance judiciaire est rejetée.

3.

Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 500 francs, sont mis à la charge de la recourante.

4.

Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties et à la Cour de justice de la République et canton de Genève, Chambre pénale de recours.
