Considérant:
que, par arrêt du 27 octobre 2010, la Chambre des tutelles du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud a déclaré irrecevable le recours formé par A.________ contre la décision de la Justice de paix du district de la Riviera-Pays d'Enhaut ordonnant la levée de la mesure de tutelle prononcée à son endroit et la remplaçant par l'institution d'une curatelle combinée selon les art. 392 ch. 1 et 393 ch. 2 CC;
que ledit arrêt est motivé par le fait que le recours était tardif et que la recourante n'avait fait valoir aucun motif de restitution du délai;
que l'intéressée interjette un recours au Tribunal fédéral contre cet arrêt;
que son écriture ne contient toutefois aucune motivation, de sorte qu'elle ne remplit pas les exigences légales (art. 42 al. 2 et 106 al. 2 LTF; ATF 133 IV 286 consid. 1.4);
que, le délai de recours - qui n'est pas susceptible de prolongation (art. 47 al. 1 LTF) - étant échu, il n'est pas possible de remédier à ce défaut;
que, en conséquence, le recours doit être déclaré irrecevable selon la procédure simplifiée prévue à l'art. 108 al. 1 let. b LTF;
qu'il est statué sans frais (cf. art. 66 al. 1, 2e phrase, LTF);

par ces motifs, la Présidente prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.

2.
Il n'est pas perçu de frais judiciaires.

3.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué à la recourante et à la Chambre des tutelles du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud.
