par ces motifs, la Présidente ordonne:

Il est pris acte du retrait du recours et la cause est rayée du rôle.

Un émolument judiciaire de 300 fr. est mis à la charge du recourant.

La présente ordonnance est communiquée aux parties et à la Chambre civile de la Cour de justice du canton de Genève.

Whether the withdrawn appeal should be taken note of and the case struck from the roll
The Court took note of the withdrawal and ordered the case struck from the roll.
Once the appeal was withdrawn, there was no longer a need to decide the merits; the proceedings had to be terminated by striking the case from the roll.
Allocation of the judicial fee after withdrawal of the appeal
A judicial fee of CHF 300 was imposed on the appellant.
Under the applicable procedural rules, the costs of the proceedings fall on the withdrawing appellant.
