X.________ appealed a ruling of the Chamber of Guardianship of the Vaud cantonal court concerning interdiction. The Federal Supreme Court noted that the appellant had been ordered twice to pay an advance on costs of CHF 1,000 but failed to do so within the time limit. The appeal was therefore declared inadmissible. Court costs of CHF 300 were charged to the appellant. The case was decided by the presiding judge sitting alone.
Art. 62 al. 3 LTF; non-payment of the advance on costs within the prescribed time limit entails inadmissibility of the appeal. Where the advance is not paid despite an additional deadline, the court may refuse to enter into the matter under Art. 108 al. 1 let. a LTF. Judicial costs are borne by the unsuccessful party under Art. 66 al. 1 LTF.

par ces motifs, la Juge présidant prononce:
