X.________ Sàrl filed a constitutional complaint against an October 19, 2008 judgment of the Chamber of Appeals of the Vaud cantonal court in a fee dispute. Before the Federal Tribunal ruled, the appellant withdrew the appeal by letter of November 18, 2008. The President therefore ordered the case struck from the docket and imposed federal court costs of CHF 200 on the appellant.
Art. 32 al. 2 LTF; withdrawal of an appeal: where the appellant withdraws the remedy before judgment, the Federal Tribunal removes the case from the docket. The withdrawal terminates the proceedings without a merits review; the court may, in such a procedural order, allocate the costs to the withdrawing party. The decision is rendered summarily by the competent judge and communicated to the parties and the cantonal authority.

Whether the constitutional appeal should be removed from the docket after withdrawal
The appeal was struck from the docket because the appellant withdrew it.
Under Art. 32(2) LTF, withdrawal of the appeal leads to removal from the docket.
Allocation of federal court costs after withdrawal
