ricorso contro il lodo arbitrale emanato il 17 agosto 2010 dal Tribunale Arbitrale dello Sport (TAS).
Considerando:
che con lodo del 17 agosto 2010 il Tribunale arbitrale dello Sport (TAS) ha pronunciato nei confronti di A.________ "la sanzione della squalifica per quattro anni (4), decorrente dal giorno 12 marzo 2009";
che contro tale lodo A.________ è insorto al Tribunale federale con un ricorso in materia civile del 7 ottobre 2010 e che, su domanda del ricorrente, la Presidente della Corte adita ha sospeso la procedura ricorsuale con decreto 14 ottobre 2010;
che con scritto 28 ottobre 2011 il ricorrente ha dichiarato di ritirare il ricorso in materia civile, ponendo segnatamente l'accento sulla sua documentata precaria situazione finanziaria;
che giusta l'art. 32 cpv. 1 LTF il presidente della Corte dirige il procedimento quale giudice dell'istruzione fino alla pronuncia della sentenza e che in virtù dell'art. 32 cpv. 2 LTF il giudice dell'istruzione decide quale giudice unico lo stralcio dal ruolo delle cause ritirate;
che viste le circostanze del caso concreto si giustifica prescindere dal prelievo di spese giudiziarie (art. 66 cpv. 2 LTF);
per questi motivi, la Presidente decreta:

La causa è stralciata dai ruoli a seguito del ritiro del ricorso.
2.
Non si prelevano spese giudiziarie.
3.
Comunicazione al patrocinatore del ricorrente, all'opponente e al Tribunale Arbitrale dello Sport (TAS).
