Vu le recours interjeté le 4 juin 2007 par X.________ contre le jugement rendu le 2 mai 2007 par la IIe Cour civile du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Neuchâtel dans le litige qui l'oppose aux époux Y.________,
Attendu que par décision incidente du 27 juin 2007, la Ire Cour de droit civil a rejeté la requête d'assistance judiciaire du recourant, qui a été invité, par ordonnance séparée, à verser au Tribunal fédéral une avance de frais de 2'500 fr. jusqu'au 20 août 2007 au plus tard,
Vu la lettre du 20 août 2007 par laquelle le recourant, sous la plume de son conseil, a indiqué au Tribunal fédéral que sa situation financière ne lui permettait pas de faire l'avance de frais requise,
Considérant qu'il n'y a pas lieu de fixer au recourant un délai supplémentaire (art. 62 al. 3, 2e phrase, LTF) pour verser une avance de frais qu'il a d'ores et déjà indiqué ne pas pouvoir fournir,
Attendu que le recours se révèle manifestement irrecevable faute de paiement de l'avance de frais (art. 62 al. 3, 3e phrase, LTF),
Vu, quant aux frais, l'art. 65 al. 3 let. b LTF et l'art. 66 al. 1 LTF,

Par ces motifs, le Président de la Ire Cour de droit civil, vu l'art. 108 al. 1 LTF :

N'entre pas en matière sur le recours.
2.
Met un émolument judiciaire de 500 fr. à la charge du recourant.
3.
Communique le présent arrêt en copie aux mandataires des parties et au Tribunal cantonal du canton de Neuchâtel, IIe Cour civile.
