Considerando:
che il 7 giugno 2010 A.________ ha presentato al Tribunale federale un ricorso contro una decisione emanata il 7 maggio 2010 dal Giudice delegato del Tribunale cantonale amministrativo;
che con scritto del 16 giugno 2010 il ricorrente dichiara di ritirare il gravame;
che il presidente o il giudice dell'istruzione decide, quale giudice unico, circa lo stralcio dal ruolo delle cause ritirate (art. 32 cpv. 1 e 2 LTF) e, in tale ambito, statuisce sulle spese giudiziarie (art. 5 cpv. 2 PC in relazione all'art. 71 LTF);
che in caso di desistenza il Tribunale federale può rinunciare in tutto o in parte a riscuotere spese giudiziarie (art. 66 cpv. 2 LTF);
che nella fattispecie si può rinunciare a prelevare spese;
per questi motivi, il Presidente decreta:

La causa è stralciata dai ruoli a seguito del ritiro del ricorso.
2.
Non si prelevano spese giudiziarie.
3.
Comunicazione al ricorrente, al Consiglio di Stato e al Giudice delegato del Tribunale amministrativo del Cantone Ticino.
